Christmas

We had a great Christmas. Braden and Ashlyn got ther iPod touches and new coats, and Garrett got a 22 and the giant cookie he asked for. He started screaming and said I got my giant cookie. Good thing Mrs. Claus came through. They all got snow sleds and are waiting for it to snow so they can use them. They have spent the whole day playing with their iPods and ds's and we went and tried out the new 22. I think they liked everything they got and had a good day.

Garrett got an email from Santa tonight. Can you tell by the look on his face how excited he was. Santa said he has been pretty good this year but could try a little harder. He knew Garrett wanted a 22 and said he would have to wait and see. Pretty fun and Garrett loved it. And he has been on his best behavior since.

Tonight was the High School art show and Ashlyn's Christmas concert. These are the two pictures Braden has painted this year in art class. They are awesome, he is quite the artist. And Ashlyn's concert was good also.

Dear Santa,

I want a giant cookie, a 22, and a motorcycle.
My two front teeth and dentures. Smart-elick.
and Braden was one of the elves handing out candy. Why do they have to think they are to big to sit on Santa's lap.

Tonight was our ward party. Matt is in Kansas City, Missouri for DFA meetings and missing all the Christmas activities this week. Garrett has been asking for all that stuff, even the giant cookie, I have no idea what that's all about. Ashlyn and Braden have both asked for ipod touches. They are counting down the days, only 9 left. I love Christmas.

The Griswolds...

Matt is very picky about his Christmas trees. He spends all year looking and this year he had a perfect one picked out but the weather didn't cooperate with us. We have been out twice looking for another perfect tree with no luck. Home Depot has pretty trees and after stopping there today Matt thought we should get one. We spent the day in St. George Christmas shopping and stopped on the way home to pick one up. We were going to strap it to the top of the car but decided to put it in the trunk and into the back seat. The people at Home Depot were very helpful and even joked around with us about being the Griswolds.

More meat...

tonight was the last of the meat cutting for the year. This is Tony's elk, Ashlyn had to help so she is writing on the packages. Garrett was behind us following Tony's example and showing us his dance moves.
