Family Pictures

Today after church we rode up on the mountain to take some family pictures. I decided to take my own pictures of the kids this year instead of paying for school pictures. I think they turned out pretty good.

My Clothes Hamper

I wonder sometimes if my dad thinks I'm crazy or if he thinks what now when I start to tell him about a project I have in mind. I know Matt thinks I have crazy ideas and can't picture what I am talking about and then when he sees the finished product I think he is a little surprised.

For a long time I have wanted an old dresser to turn into a hamper for my laundry room. When they were cleaning out Grandma Bea's house no one wanted this dresser so Matt snagged it for me. It took me a while to finish it, and thanks to my dad for knowing how to take my visions and make them work it turned out just like I wanted and I love it.

Volleyball

Ashlyn decided to try 7th grade volleyball this year. She also tried out for the traveling team and made it, along with Markelle and Karley. We only have to go to Parowan, Millard, and Enterprise. Today the game was in Millard and they won.

Cub Scouts

Garrett had his first cub scout pack meeting tonight. He has been so excited to start scouts. Grandma and Grandpa Willden are his scout leaders which makes it even more fun.

Garrett's Big Day

Garrett was so excited to get baptized. He has been counting down the days and then the hours until it was time to go to the church. Matt was a little nervous but he did a really good job with the baptism and confirmation. After we went to the park and had brownies and ice cream and he opened some presents. We gave him scriptures and a case, G n G McInelly gave him a journal, a tithing bank, and scripture marker, G n G Willden gave him a CTR ring, and Mitch and Shondel gave him a new tie. I think he had a very nice day.

Ashlyn's a Bow Hunter

This is Ashlyn's first year to hunt and she didn't draw a tag. When they released youth bow tags she decided she wanted to give it a try. A guy that works with Matt had a youth bow he said she could borrow and started practicing right away. She has missed a few but still has time to hunt so I hope she can get one.
