Garrett's Christmas Program

Tonight was Garrett's School Christmas program. It was 3rd and 4th grade combined and was so packed Matt had to stand in the back. They were supposed to dress up like another country and all we have is Iraqi headdresses. Kind of a weird thing to have I know but I made Matt get them while he was in Iraq. He looked cute and they did a good job.

OUCH

Braden had to have an ingrown toenail cut off today. It was pretty gross. They gave him 4 or 5 shots around his toe and waited for it to kick in then he started pulling the nail and Braden could still feel it, so he had to give him two more shots.

Christmas Tree

Getting a Christmas tree is like any other hunting season around here. We hunt all year for THE BEST tree on the mountain. Matt is so picky. It has to be full and the perfect shape. He had a good pinion picked out but we don't usually cut pinions. We haven't had much snow yet so we decided to head on the mountain while we could. We went to three creeks and Matt spotted this tree but Ashlyn told him it was ugly so we looked around a little longer and on our way out I spotted the same tree, not knowing it was the same tree, so Matt walked down and cut it. Ashlyn has been so mad about it. She thinks it's so ugly. She just can't stand to be wrong.

Braden's not helping because he's the camera man.

Diversity Means

That is the theme for reflections this year. Ashlyn and Braden HAVE to do it because they are both in art.

LoOk OuT...

there's a new driver in town. Braden got his learners permit and can now legally drive with an adult. It's kinda weird being chaperoned around by your child.

Look Familiar

I love this...Garrett's halloween candy sorted into piles of each kind. Who hasn't done this.
