1st Day of School

Aren't they so good looking.  Two in High School and a Third Grader. It's going to be an interesting year. I wasn't really ready for school to start this year. We haven't had enough time this summer to do much. It will be nice to get into a routine instead of staying up late and sleeping in.
Mitch told Braden he would give him twenty dollars if he would grow his hair out all summer. Now he likes it and wants to leave it long. I think it makes him look older, but it does need a trim.
She wasn't nervous to go to High School until we got to school this morning. She wanted me to walk her to class, which isn't like her, and she looked a little scared. She had a good day and likes the 7th grade.
Garrett has been counting down the days til school started. I can't believe he has been so excited. His teacher is Mrs. Bradshaw.

TUACAHN

Last night we had our third annual Tuacahn Girl's Night Out courtesy of Grandma Garna. This year was The Little Mermaid and it was really good. After the show we always have to meet the cast and take pictures. Prince Eric was the same guy who played Tarzan last year and he picked Ashlyn up for a picture so she wanted him to do it again. Tanille and Brittany thought he was cuter as Tarzan, I'm pretty sure it was because all he wore last year was a loin cloth.

CAMPING

We spent the weekend camping with the Maycocks and Meachams.
The girls...
We didn't hardly see or hear these boys all weekend. They had so much fun playing together.
Navi had Braden wrapped around her little finger. She was feeding him his hamburger and would say is that good. She would stand in the door of mom and dad's trailer and yell for Braden and lead him around.

Ironing

I hate ironing. I hardly ever iron. I usually iron church and work clothes on my bedroom floor. When I got the ironing board out today Garrett asked me when I got it. I do however like to iron the kids new school clothes. I love the way they smell. Today I got the kids clothes all ironed and ready for school.

From Bad to Worse

Today was one of those days. I woke up in a bad mood and it went downhill from there. After dealing with a rude secretary, a rude customer and having to stay and extra hour at work I was pulling into the driveway and looked down at my cell phone to look up and see Matt backing out. I put it in reverse and tried to get out of the way but I wasn't quick enough.
That's what 4200.00 in damage looks like. Nice huh...

Happy Birthday Braden

Today Braden is celebrating his 15th birthday. Man FIFTEEN years old. Wasn't it just yesterday we were bringing you home from the hospital. We took him to the El Bambi for lunch and when she found out it was his birthday she brought him some ice cream with a candle and they sang Happy Birthday to him. Last night he had a sleepover with some friends. They had cake, played games, and slept outside in the tent. Matt forgot to turn the sprinklers off and they woke us up yelling about three a.m. I think he had a good birthday. We love you very much and are so grateful to have you in our lives. Happy Birthday Bud.

Primary

I have been in primary since Braden was about two. I have had a few breaks and different callings, but always in primary. There are Sundays that I come home ornery or ready to cry because the kids are so rotten. I've taught all of my own kids which can be a challenge. Sometimes I wonder if they are even listening or getting anything out of the lesson, and then one of them will get up and bear their testimony or answer a question from last weeks lesson, OR today at work one of the little girls brought me this picture she drew-
