We got up early yesterday to go to Salt Lake for the hunting expo. We usually go on Thursday and don't take the kids but Matt wanted to go Saturday and the kids wanted to go. Braden was extremely bored and left early with Matt's parents. Garrett had his moments. He had to try everything out that he could. He rode the mechanical bull, he shot a air rifle, and played a laser hunting game. Ashlyn isn't a two year old, she kept telling me, and wouldn't participate. Getting up and 6 30 and driving for 3 hours, shopping at Cabelas, walking around, and being hungry makes for ornery kids.
I think the highlight of the day was seeing Ted Nugent. The place was packed and we had to stand off to the side so Ashlyn and Garrett sat in front of Ted on the floor. He pointed to them and said look at these kids. He asked if he was fun, they nodded yes, funner than your mom and dad, yes. They were both so into what he was saying and loved it.
